We all own furniture that has been mass produced overseas and sold at a local chain store. This furniture usually requires assembly, includes metal hardware of some sort and has a wood veneer and compressed particle core. The purchase process when we buy this furniture is always a compromise: “I like the price, I mostly like the look, I hope it holds up for at least a year or two!”
Not long after, our three-year-old will drop a toy on the new table and chip the edge off, and our “affordably priced” furniture is now an eyesore that we use until we can no longer stand eating off of exposed cardboard.
Our furniture ethic runs completely counter to this experience. All of our furniture is made one of a kind, using the highest quality of fine woods. We strive to eliminate all hardware. Our goal is to create heirloom pieces that can be passed down through the generations as functional works of art.
Come in to our store and see a few pieces that have been in use for the last 10+ years to see the difference.
